Dr. B. Ukoro is a lecturer in the Department of Human Physiology at Southern Delta University, Ozoro, Nigeria. He holds a Ph.D. in Human Physiology (Neurophysiology) from the University of Port Harcourt and is committed to advancing excellence in teaching, research, and community service. His research focuses on neurophysiology, Pain, environmental health, toxicology, public health, and biostatistics, with particular interest in the effects of natural products and environmental toxins on cognitive function, neuroprotection, Neuro degeneration and metabolic health. He has authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed scientific publications. He teaches undergraduate courses in human physiology and is passionate about mentoring students, promoting evidence-based research and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations. He is dedicated to translating scientific discoveries into practical solutions that improve human health and contribute to sustainable development. His professional interests include neuroscience, public health research, bioinformatics, and research capacity building. He is an active member of several learned societies and professional bodies, including the Physiological Society of Nigeria (PSN), The Physiological Society, United Kingdom, Neuroscience Society of Nigeria (NSN), and the International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society (MDS). Guided by the philosophy of Learning, Building, and Impacting, he remains committed to academic excellence, innovation, and meaningful societal impact.
