Dr. EFEJENE, OFEJIRO ISRAEL

Profile

Dr. Israel Ofejiro Efejene holds a Bachelor degree in pharmacology from Delta State University, Abraka with a research on the effect of herbicide garri on haematological parameters and a Master’s degree in Pharmacology from the University of Lagos, Lagos with a dissertation on the evaluation of antibiotics and analysis of ciprofloxacin and gentamycin residue in fish sample.He also holds another Masters Degree in Public Health from Novena University, Ogume were he focuses on awareness of gestational depression and its outcomes on maternal and child health care. He holds a doctorate degree (Ph.D) at the DELSU joint Canada- Israel Neuroscience and Biopsychiatric Laboratory, Department of Pharmacology, Delta State, University, Abraka were he worked on impacts of drugs on prenatal depression. He presently teaches, researches and supervise pharmacology courses to several students in medical and health training at the Southern Delta University, Ozoro, Delta State, Nigeria. He is presently the Head of Department (HOD). He has attended several scientific conferences in which is abstract has been published in several books of abstract. He has published several research articles in both local and international reputable journals. He has supervised undergraduates and co-supervised postgraduate research work, including those at industrial training. He is keen to grow is research interest in neuroscience, antimicrobials and public health with basic skills in analysis and interpretation of data.
