Profile

Dr. Michael Monye completed his primary education at Nwanoli Primary School in Ubulu-Uku, Delta State, secondary education at Nigeria Model High School in Idi-Oro, Lagos, and Advanced Level studies at Baptist Academy in Obanikoro, Lagos. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, a Master of Science in Marketing from the University of Lagos, and a PhD in Business Administration from Igbinedion University. Dr. Monye built a robust corporate career in sales, marketing, and research. He served as Sales/Marketing Manager at Michel Industries Ltd, Procurement Manager at Henota Nigeria Limited, Marketing Manager at Union Dicon Salt PLC, and Commercial Manager at Quadrant Industry Nigeria Ltd, where he directed strategic marketing operations. In academia, he served as Senior Lecturer, Head of Department, Course Adviser, and Accreditation Committee Chairman at defunct Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. He was also the pioneer Coordinating Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurial Education and Development (CEED) and currently serves as Lecturer I in the Department of Marketing at Southern Delta University, Ozoro. A Member of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Dr. Monye has served as a resource person for the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), an external moderator, Auchi Polytechnic, Auchi, Edo State and author of numerous academic papers in peer-reviewed journals.
